Amy Rhodes Williams (Amy J Rhodes), 48, of Hollywood, South Carolina, passed away on Aug 10, 2024. The Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:30pm on August 25, 2024, at Folly River Park, Folly Beach. Immediately following the service, the family invites all attendees for food and fellowship held at the Crab Shack, 26 Center St on Folly Beach from 1:30pm -4pm.

Amy was a kindergarten and 1st grade schoolteacher for 17 years. At the beginning of each school year, Amy always raised money for school supplies for students in need. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations of gift cards from Target, Walmart, etc. for her students and former colleagues.

Amy was born in Charleston, South Carolina on August 28, 1975. She was just shy of turning 49 years old before she passed. She is the daughter of Tommy Rhodes and Lynda Rhodes. Amy enjoyed hunting for shark's teeth and other fossils. Being a teacher was her true passion. She very much enjoyed teaching children reading skills. She eventually held a position as a "reading interventionist" and absolutely loved working one on one with children struggling to read. It came very naturally to her as she taught. Amy was always very involved in various events for her school.

Amy is survived by, her grandmother, Mary Rhodes, her sister, Karen Rhodes Hannifin (Patrick Hannifin), Her Nieces and Nephews, Brie Hobbs (Cody Hobbs), Austin Hobbs, Abigail Hannifin, Jacob Hannifin, Jayci Souder, Calli Souder, Cammi Souder, Faith Souder, her mother, Lynda Southworth Rhodes, and a great deal of friends and family that love her dearly.

Amy is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Thomas Rhodes, Sr, Jack Southworth, Father, Tommy Rhodes, her beloved Sister, Heather Rhodes, and her grandmother, Jane Southworth. The family welcomes anyone who wishes to pay respects on Aug 25, 2024, at Folly River Park at 12:30pm.
